The Monero community has posted a proposal on the Tesla website to add XMR as a payment option. As we previously reported as Cryptokoin.com , Elon Musk implied that they could start accepting Bitcoin payments for Tesla’s electric cars. Shortly after that, the Monero community suggested that XMR might also be an adequate payment option.
Dear @elonmusk, The #Monero community would like to have a word with you. #Tesla4XMR https://t.co/Rg4KOimtRF

Monero community published a CCS recommendation on Feb. The addition of Monero as a payment option for a new Tesla alongside Bitcoin raised 890 XMR ($155,000) to its name.
As part of the proposal, the community will try to get Musk’s attention for a period of 21 days. If Tesla accepts the initiative, the Monero community will select three charities to buy the original Tesla. The Community agrees that this proposal, which will be financed entirely by themselves; He promised a refund if there was no random response or participation from Musk within twenty-one days.
According to the Monero website, the subject of the word is effort; So far, it has been supported by only 11 contributors in total.
According to the proposal, Tesla fans can take advantage of the option to pay with XMR due to its unique implicit properties compared to public and traceable blockchains such as Bitcoin (BTC) or Ether (ETH). The community suggested that some Tesla owners would be comfortable making their precious vehicles more submerged.
The statement reads:
“You don’t want your server at a restaurant to know the entire balance in your wallet when you pay, right? Why should the world see all the information leaked in a Bitcoin process where you bought a car?”
Existing discussions on Monero
The proposal comes amid some current discussions regarding Monero’s privacy features and monitoring XMR processes. In November 2020, CipherTrace filed two patent applications for a technology that is expected to offer the ability to track Monero processes. The Monero community has previously criticized and questioned CipherTrace’s ability to track XMR.
